Once upon a time (a season ago), in the fairy kingdom of Paris, Marc Jacobs surprised everyone with a total China-inspired Louis Vuitton collection, not at all in the mood of the season.
As always, he was early. The same collection nowadays would have been just unsurprising, because Fashion this winter seems to have been affected by a new wave of Orientalism.
The Far-East was everywhere on New York runways: from models to clothes going through accessories, everything screamed "East!".
