The delicious cuvée FW 2011- New York shows review

Like wines, also fashion has its cuvées and FW 2011-12 seemed to be a very tasteful one.

With SS 2011 we saw the come back of color-block and ladylike elegance, during the past week New York runways carried it forward to the same exquisite direction.

Collections were unusually colorful for winter (orange, electric blue, red) and rich in prints. Even Oscar de la Renta displayed a collection inspired by Oriental opulence, with gold, fur hats and Mongolian coats.

Legs were hidden behind gorgeous large trousers or long skirts and have never looked so good.

All this beauty has only one side-effect: pushing to compulsive shopping!

- Theory by Olivier Theyskens: I want the whole collection. It feels just right.

- Rodarte's dreamy romance

- Prabal Grurung: on the whole, a pleasant show

- 3.1 Phillip Lim: electric blue and leather

- Marc Jacobs' mermaids

- Chris Benz's presentation: a fairy tail
