PROENZA SCHOULER FALL AD CAMPAIGN
Zuzanna Bijoch
photographed by Willy Vanderperre
I know, I know, I'm supposed to be on holiday those days, which should mean no fashion, no posting, etc.
But I can't. I simply can't totally disconnected myself from the fashion world, because this is not just my work, but also my passion.
Lazying on the beach, taking lovely stroll at sunset, having dinner facing the Pacific without meetings, emails and urgent phone calls are already a lot of resting.
So, when I bumped into these images from the freshly released Proenza Schouler Fall ad campaign, I couldn't help but post about it, seen I'm a PS maniac.
Three words: Cool, cool, cool. I want those dresses and I want to be that girl.
Only wonder why they didn't show us the shoes, the gorgeous strappy high heels from the show.

SUMMER BREAK
Yesterday I left the cold and grey Paris to start my holiday vacation that will go on until the end of August. Yes, it's a long time, but I haven't been on holiday since December, so I really need this simmer break.
Currently I'm in Santa Barbara with the boyfriend at his family house, after I'll spent some time with my own relatives in Italy.
Have a good summer you all and see you in September!

BRIGHT AND DARK- THE TWO EMMA
Thanks to the last and latest Harry Potter's movie, Emma Watson is having her big moment right now.
After the July issue of Vogue (wearing Prada), here she comes again on the top of Harper's Bazaar UK August issue (in Emilio Pucci).
Which one do you prefer?
I think Emma looks definitely too dark and witchy on the Harper's Bazaar cover, with that weird bob. I prefer the glossy and gorgeous Vogue version, with that futuristic Prada gown opposed to more obvious velvet Pucci.

NOUVELLE VAGUE- VOGUE RUSSIA JULY 2011
Lena Vasilyeva
A lot is going on in the country of Dasha Zhukova.
A nouvelle vague of young talented designers are blowing out and Vogue Russia dedicated to them an editorial in the last issue (July). I'm proud to say the larger part are women.

LOOK! IT'S MERT&MARCUS
Taking the inspiration from the last issue of Industrie Magazine, I decided to do here a little Mert&Marcus retrospective, collecting all the fall ad campaigns they shot this season.
Their personal aesthetic is clearly visible.

THE ROW FIRST BAG LINE
I'm still doubtful about Mary-Kate and Ashley's new handbag line, freshly launched with a party at Barney's.
The Olsen twins proved themselves to be real fashion designers scoring a CFDA Award nomination this year and I do love their clothing line. But the bags... Hum, I'm not sure there.
The whole history makes me think about Victoria Beckham, Posh Spice-turned-fashion designer who recently added to her ready-to-wear line some luxurious handbags. Again, her clothes work well as chic evening gowns and in a way that its truly hers, but her bags just don't tell me nothing.
The same for these The Row purses: they might be beautiful and practical, but they don't bring anything new or unseen to the magical Designer Bags World.
Looking at them, I would say these bags are from Céline or Alexander Wang, with the only difference that they aren't.

LOOK DU JOUR
Charlotte Gainsbourg in Balenciaga
How much I love Charlotte! Such a nice, elegant girl and talented actress! Seen she doesn't go out very often- especially now that she's pregnant with her third child- I had to look back in my archives to treat myself with a little Charlotte cameo, appropriate for this 14th of July. Vive la France!

THE LAST BITE OF SUMMER
July has not yet reached is half, that already August magazine covers are out.
Fashion runs very fast...
Generally speaking, I found interesting the choice of August cover girls:
Beautiful, strong and intelligent women in elegant, lady-like, flattering gowns from designers I love.
And the sub-title of British Vogue, "New Beginnings", that suits for new bride Kate Moss as well as for fashion and we all, it's encouraging.
So, let's taste the last bite of summer, looking forward to see what September has in store for us!
