LEAVING THE HOUSE

Really, I don't know what's happening in the Fashion World.
Since the beginning of the year, a "music chair" ball has been taking place in fashion Houses, with designers leaving (fired? resigned?) and speculation about who'll be next.

And not only designers. First of all, it was Carine Roitfeld who left her position as Editor in chief of Paris Vogue after 10 years. After months of crazy gossip involving even Tom Ford and Hedi Slimane, Emmanuelle Alt scored the job and Carine is now part of the Barney's team.

Then, just before Paris Fashion Week, it came the John Galliano's affaire.
Dior said his successor won't be elected before Fall, but rumors give Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci as confirmed.

Clare Waight Keller quit Pringle of Scotland early this month, leaving the creative direction to Alistair Carr, before at Balenciaga.

On March 14th, we got the news that Milan Vukmirovic is out from Trussardi

On March 18h, Vanessa Seward dismissed from Azzaro

On March 29th, it's the turn of Cédric Charlier to separate from Cacharel.

Most of these designers have held the job only for a couple of seasons and my opinion is that brands don't have anymore the patience to wait for the team to match up, for the customers to get familiar with the new style. If results don't come immediately, Out! Next one!
So wrong and so destabilizing.

The only one who succeeded to resuscitate a brand in a few seasons is Guillaume Henry with Carven. And I'm still wondering how this could have been possible.

Shoes obsession of the moment: FINSK

Finnish born and London based designer Julia Lundsten has been seducing the fashion world with her creations since 2004.
No wonder she won for two years the "Manolo Blahnik Award".

In Paris Finsk shoes are available at Le66 store.

SPRING IS REALLY HERE

Can you think about something more "springy" than these Lanvin baskets?

I can't and that's the reason I bought them.

Seen this season you HAVE to wear color and I'm not a color lover, I decide that colorful footwear could be a good compromise.

EVERYONE WANTS TO BE US

At the beginning was just Carine and Anna (Wintour). Now, it's also about Emmanuelle, Giovanna and Anna (dello Russo).

Seducing the crowd (and street-style photographers) with their impeccable outfits, editors have become the The Big Stars of Fashion.

A sort of editors-mania is spreading into the web. Pictures of the three of them were everywhere during these last fashion weeks, receiving almost more attention than the actual shows.

Everyone wants to be them. Having no idea about the endless amount of labor this stressful job demands, by the way.

Being the most exhibitionist of the lucky trio, Anna dello Russo created her blog all by herself, where she (okay, maybe her assistant) posts her editorials -yes, these people work for real- as well as her crazy looks.

Instead it's Kellina de Boer the mind behind the "I want to be" series.

If you are a fan of Emmanuelle Alt, Carine Roitfeld and her cool kids or the newcomer Giovanna Battaglia (who, casually, is Vladimir Roitfeld's girlfriend), you can check out their last outfits and taking a touristic tour into their closets or bath drawers.

I'm wondering if people will rush online to buy black Topshop jeans because Emmanuelle Alt wears them or that pair of stiletto seen on Julia Roitfeld.

I'm trying to contact Mrs de Boer to find out why she did such a thing. Apparently, she wasn't ask to by the direct objects of her obsession.
Because, let's be honest, all this is more about voyeuristic gossip than fashion.

STYLISH GIRLS DO NOT WEAR COLORS

During Fashion Weeks, in a crowd mostly dressed in striped Prada, acid Balenciaga or bohemian long pleated skirts, I've noticed that two of the most stylish girls around didn't wear one single piece of color.

One is Emmanuelle Alt, Paris Vogue newly appointed Editor in Chief, whose black total-look kept street-style photographers away from her.

I've found only one picture of her wearing something different from black and it was a white Céline jacket (at the opening of the "Vogue Bar" at Hotel Le Crillon).

The more important you are, the less attention you need.

And the other one is Kate Moss, who didn't give up her rock-star attitude not even for a pair of Isabel Marant red leather trousers.

Maybe her engagement to Jamie Hince has something to do with that.

MAISON CLOSE

What's a pity Carine Roitfeld is no more Editor in Chief of Paris Vogue, because this season she would have found a lot of materials for her famous porno-chic editorials.

Besides edgy dark-punk looks and lady-like panoplies, Paris runways were over-sexual.
Even the usually discrete Giles Deacon displayed a very sexy Emanuel Ungaro's collection.

Well, by now we are used at Givenchy's transparencies, this was not a surprise....

But Louis Vuitton? The chic Geisha of this summer has turned into a sort of fetishist.
